So.Many.Feathers.
When I designed the chess pieces back then I decided that the bishops (or more fitting “Läufer” in German) have birds, wings and feathers etc. as their “emblem”. That’s mostly due the fact that the Läufers at the beginning of the war were messengers, like Hermes, instead of close combat like assassin’s.
And while the “uniforms” are very simple (tight pants, high boots, turtleneck pullover, vest + corsets in the free-time) I wanted this cloak for Roman simply…because he’s from a noble house and it looks good.
Design is a bitch however, especially when you have to work in such a small scale, and while Jester did a great job at sewing the stuff I wanted, I was absolutely not satisfied with the feathers. Too small, not dramatic enough, looked horrible on photos. So I ordered 2 metres of feathers (I think it’s turkey) + more small feathers from abroad and now I finally got my ass up to finish that cloak.
I still like the second photo though, but I hate that back then the cloak was not finished yet and 99% of the shooting was just rubbish :’T
